24 Hour Emergency Shelter:
Short term shelter and offers a safe, supportive and moderately structured environment for women, where they can begin to regain stability and address basic needs. Clients are supported to build routine and set short term goals to acquire readiness for increased independence.
Minimal Barrier Shelter:
Safe, overnight shelter for women and female youth. Clients are provided with meals, snacks, some clothing, and basic personal items, and have access to bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities. Telephone and newspaper are also available.
7 units of housing with shared kitchen, laundry and bathrooms. Tenants are supported by tenant support workers to develop and carry out personalized life plans to enable them to move towards a greater degree of independence and stability.
Drop In Centre:
Provides meals, snacks, coffee, outerwear, and personal items. Visitors can access showers, bathrooms, laundry facilities, telephone and newspaper. Fun and free activities, crafts, movies, special events and wellness activities are open to all women.
Outreach Support Program:
Clients are supported to increase well being and quality of life by assisting them to identify and access needed services in a timely and respectful way. The program is available to all women and is accessed by referral or self-referral
Non credit liberal arts program for men and women who have experienced exclusion, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, or barriers to education. This education program offers modified courses delivered at the College of New Caledonia in partnership with AWAC.
